A Side by Side Comparison of Burlesque and Poetry

Either everything matters, or nothing does. I believe that everything matters. I'm working through a knot of feelings about my creative life, so I came up with this list of notes about two art forms that I love. One is new to me (I made my debut last Wednesday), the other isn't (I made my debut in Kindergarten).

Wonderful. And I sure do hope I get to attend one of your burlesque performances someday...

Haha! Love it! Let's make a seven-sided comparison by adding music, painting, hooping, dancing, and, uh, okay, maybe let's make it six-sided!

You may already be aware of the group Jim Thorpe Arts in Motion (with the delightful and only slightly misspelled acronym JTAiM) who recently put on a burlesque/poetry/tarot night. I missed that one, but am looking forward to the next. I'd love to see something like that happen in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area!

Well hello, Echo. Yes, I am friends with the woman who runs that space (she is also a burly girl and writer), and I read at the first of those events!
