In a day and a half:
• I read two books
• Ate three kinds of fish (mollusks, shellfish, crustacean)
• Took note of shell shapes and seagull markings
• Watched the sunrise over the ocean
• Got a ridiculous, spotty sunburn in spite of the reapplication of SPF 50 lotion
• Caught someone's beach umbrella tumbling in the wind
• Took a Chardonnap
• Wrote nothing

Chardonnap. I haven't had one of those, but it sounds like something that I might need on occasion.
I don't read fiction very often, but I have three books on my summer reading list: So Big by Edna Ferber, My Antonia, and a book about various subcultures, such as catfish noodling and cock fighting.
Chardonnap. This word begged to be invented. Bravo.
Co-authorship on that one. I originally said "Snoozonnay." My friend deftly spun it into "Chardonnap." She gets the wit credit. :)
And another fan on the Chardonnap wagon.
